RMI will be at NACW to lead a workshop titled, "When Is a Credit Type Market-Ready? Lessons from Orphaned Wells." In this session, led by Alexis Wilkman, we will explore the evolution of orphaned well plugging credits, a credit type that has seen rapid development and methodological churn over the past three years.

This webinar will explore how states are thinking about electricity rates, grid reliability, and speed to deployment for new large loads. Panelists will discuss what energy offices and economic developers can do together to make the underlying utility and regulatory dynamics more legible and actionable—and how proactive strategies around electricity affordability can become a genuine competitive advantage. 

RMI will be at the annual conference of the Society of Environmental Journalists (SEJ) at the University of Illinois, Chicago. Now in its 35th year, SEJ has organized these conferences to gather storytellers and change makers to discuss the environmental issues that shape national and regional reporting. RMI is proud to participate at the conference with both a workshop and beat dinner for those registered for the conference. RMI co-founder Cofounder and Chairman Emeritus, Amory Lovins, will be a featured speaker for the Accelerating the Transition conference in San Francisco, April 18-20. The conference will bring together leaders in government, cleantech, impact investing, and policy to discuss real-world solutions for the clean energy transition.

Amory Lovins will give a plenary keynote on “Energy Efficiency and Energy-Efficient Design—Our Greatest Energy Resource” at 3:00 pm PT on Saturday, April 18th.
